CompassionCare Hospice will be holding a lunch-n-learn in regards to hospice benefits covered by Medicare at Siena Hills Assisted Living. Hospice is a program of care and support for people who are terminally ill. Original Medicare or Medicare Part A and B should cover hospice if that is the path you choose. Having good balance means being able to control and maintain your body’s position while you are moving or remaining still. The part of the inner ear responsible for balance is the vestibular system. Good balance is important to help you get around, stay independent, and carry out daily activities. Independence is a big thing for seniors. Balance problems are among the most common reasons that older adults seek help from a doctor. As you get older, many people experience problems with their sense of balance.

Before working with our patients, our staff is are instructed on a variety of subjects. Hospice patients have sensitive needs. Our staff focus on these needs. CompassionCare Hospice of Las Vegas provide training specific to the current and ongoing needs of each individual patient receiving hospice care. Staff must receive this specified training before hospice services begin. Our vision is no one should travel the end-of-life journey without compassion, comfort and support.
